Rene Muñoz Pagán February 1, 1943 - January 7, 2026 It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Rene Muñoz Pagán (Mr. Muñoz) at the age of 82, on January 7, 2026, at his home in Schaumburg, Illinois. Born on February 11, 1943, in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, he was the husband of the late Aida J. Ortiz Ortiz and the son of the late Santos Muñoz and Francisca (Pancha) Pagán. He was an excellent educator and a passionate track and field enthusiast. He also loved reading and poetry. He leaves behind a great legacy of love and respect in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his children Kenneth Muñoz Ortiz (Nomeda Muñoz), Renaida Muñoz Ortiz (Jaime García), Damarz Muñoz Ortiz (Obrayan Caraballo), and Ibis Muñoz Ortiz. His grandchildren Kenneth Muñoz Malavé, Ricardo Rene Llorens Muñoz (Valerie Díaz), Naida Llorens Muñoz (Michael Rodríguez), Ricardo Javier Llorens Muñoz, Luis Rene Gomez Muñoz (Julieta Solano), Luis Javier Gómez Muñoz. His great-grandchildren Naichel, Leahnya, Llarianyz, Llanialyz, Ian Michael, Jadiel, Jeshua, Aiden, Laena, Jesaiah. His brothers Samuel Muñoz Pagán and Onell Muñoz Pagan. His family, siblings, nieces and nephews mourn his passing to the heavenly realm. His remains will be cremated as per his wishes. After cremation, his ashes will be placed alongside those of his beloved Aida J. Ortiz Ortiz (May she rest in peace) at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery in Northlake, Illinois. The date and time will be announced for those who wish to join us during this sad time.
