As per his daughter's school report on her father, "His greatest strength is his resilience, he came from nothing and survived so many trials and tribulations in his lifetime that he can easily adjust to any situation and is not easily afraid. He can easily adapt, and he says that his life is great now".  Anyone that knew Raul's can attest to his daughter's statement of her father.

Raul's parting advise to others: "Always work hard and continue improving in life. You will continue to learn, and things will get better and better as life goes on.  Even if you are poor or don't have an education, never give up... things will come to you and fall in place as long as you work hard."
