Oleary Clark Obituary

Oleary Clark peacefully passed away at home on May 2, 2026. Born on April 7, 1940, in Yazoo City, Mississippi, to the late Jeff Anderson and Pearlie Anderson she grew to be a woman of strength, humor, and unwavering honesty. Later in life, she relocated to Chicago, Illinois where she built a life centered on her family. Oleary found joy in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed watching TV game shows, especially Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud and Deal or No Deal. She spent many quiet moments reading novels by her favorite author, Danielle Steel. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and word searches. She had a deep appreciation for fashion and took pride in her appearance. Gardening brought her peace, and she especially loved the natural beauty and fragrance of her flowers. Her love for cooking was unmatched, and her culinary skills will be deeply missed by her family. Oleary was known for her sense of humor, her straightforward nature, and her unapologetic honesty. She was a woman who spoke her mind without hesitation and this trait was one of her defining characteristics. She is preceded in death by her siblings: Melvin Anderson, Jeff Anderson Jr., Doris Nelson, Delores Butler, and Swillia Little. She is survived by her brother, Edward "Sonny" Anderson; her children, Lewis Clark, Anthony Clark (Sonia),Jeffrey Clark and Michelle Clark; along with a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family members. Oleary's passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of her loved ones.
