Millie Cummings

Mildred Ruth Cummings, age 75, passed away at her home on July 10th, 2025. She was born on August 29th, 1949, in Chicago, IL.

“Millie” as she was affectionately known, was a beloved daughter of her late parents, George and Josephine; and a cherished sibling of Ruth and the late Michael and Patrick. She was an adoring mother of her only son, Jeremy, whom she loved more than words can express.

Millie lived a life characterized by kindness, love and unreserved concern for the happiness of others. Anyone who met her knew that her love for children was unparalleled. Millie was passionate about many things, but her favorites were gardening, crafting and baking.

Despite facing multiple physical ailments, the latter part of her life, Millie displayed remarkable strength, resilience and unwavering spirit. She approached each day with courage and optimism, inspiring all who knew her.

Millie will be remembered for her kindness and compassion. She touched lives and created memories that we will all hold dear forever.

Millie will be deeply missed, but she will be remembered forever.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be at Northlake Funeral Home, Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a Service of Commemoration at 3:00 p.m.
