Loretta Grotefend (87) of Northlake; passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025; She was the beloved wife of the late Herbert. Born in Cleveland, OH to amazing parents of the late Steven and Josephine (Sesto) Silla.
Loretta was the epitome of maternal devotion. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into nurturing, guiding, and supporting them through every stage of their lives. She was a constant source of encouragement, wisdom, and unconditional love, fostering a home filled with warmth and affection.
She took immense pride in their accomplishments, celebrated their successes, and provided solace during their trials and tribulations. Her boundless love was the cornerstone of her family's strength, creating an enduring legacy that will forever resonate in their hearts.
As a devout Catholic, Loretta lived her life in accordance with her faith, embodying the principles of compassion, humility, and devotion.
She was the loving mother of five children: Yvonne (the late John) Ritzel, Kathleen (John) Grotefend, Barbara (the late Joe Thomas) Cromer, Steven (DeAnna) Loudermilk and Joann (Jeff) Kolesar.

Visitation Monday, May 12, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Northlake Funeral Home. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. at St. John Vianney Church, Northlake.
