Jesse Fernandez Obituary

Jesse was a kind, gentle man with a great sense of humor until the end. He worked hard, 7 days a week, for decades. He retired as a cutter operator from Berlin Industries with 30+ years of service. Jesse's entrepreneurial spirit was enormous. Some of his side hustles included office cleaning services, Mr J's Hair Salon and a gold business.

His love for Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Jackie Chan, Steven Segal, etc. action movies was even bigger. He saw all their action movies... and so did we. He would typically fall asleep in the theater 30 minutes into the movie. He also took us to all the local carnivals, county fairs, state fairs and even the world fair one year. He loved to dance and had some smooth moves. John Travolta had nothing on Jesse. We always watched Dance Fever, American Bandstand and Soul Train.

He wanted the best for his children and helped guide them the best he could. Especially when it meant flossing, brushing, water-picking your teeth, washing your face with Noxema at bedtime and making sure you had on clean underwear. He kept a clean house and had the neatest penmanship.
