Elizabeth Jones

Elizabeth M. Jones, 89 of Northlake, IL. passed away Friday February 4, 2022 at the Ascension Living Casa Scalabrini Nursing Home in Northlake, IL. She was a resident of the nursing home for the past 3 1/2 years. 

Born in Chicago, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Andrew and Rita Jacobs of Chicago, IL. She grew up on a farm in Neillsville, WI. with her grandmother and step-grandfather. She was the beloved wife of the late William Jones.

Elizabeth was employed at Scholle Packaging Corporation, Northlake, IL. for 30 years and retired in 1997. She never drove an automobile her entire life so she relied on walking, taking a bus and sometimes riding a bicycle to and from work in the cold of winter and the heat of summer. She was very independent from a young age and remained so right up to current day. She enjoyed sewing, making clothes and writing letters.

She is survived by her son, Patrick Jones, Johnston, RI, One sister Cielita (Herb) Blum, Waukesha, WI., Five nieces, One nephew as well as many grand nieces and grand nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Charmette Nantz and brother Thomas Jacobs.

A private family prayer service will be held at the Northlake Funeral Home on Friday, February 11, 2022.
