Efrain Hernandez, Jr. Obituary

Efrain Hernandez Jr. born in Camuy, Puerto Rico to Efrain Hernandez Sr. and Genoveva Camuy-Hernandez on April 4th, 1964. He was a loving and supportive husband, a doting father and grandfather. Efrain was committed to serving the community by devoting his time with Project Feed Love through U-Turn Covenant Church and other various volunteer opportunities that would present themselves. He will be remembered for his teasing jokes, his entertaining stories, unfailing work ethic, and his generous smile.
After being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, he made it his mission in his final years to minister, mentor, and share his testimony to those who would eventually cross his path. The diagnoses did not dim his outlook on life or lead to feelings of despair, instead he lived to the fullest and continued to radiate with joy, peace and happiness.
His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his adoring wife: Flor Gonzalez; Children: Nick, Nina (Gaddy), Vanessa, Sireena, Sir; siblings: Tony (Pam), Frankie (Becky), Joanna (Jose), Ivan (Vivian), Preceded in death by Albert: six grandchildren, and a long list of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Efrain's life will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 5:30pm to 9pm at UTurn Covenant Church located at 35 East North Ave in Northlake Illinois. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Pancreatic Cancer  Action Network at www.pancan.org.
