Northlake - Steven “Steve” Radwill, 69 of Northlake, IL traded in his fishing rod and reel for angel wings on June 2, 2026. Born in 1956, Steve was known for the love he had for his family, all of his friends, and the fact that he always “knew a guy” to help with anything and everything.
Whether he was Cheering on his favorite Chicago team, or spending time with his beloved family, Steve lived every day without any regrets. No one who met Steve forgot about his deep love for his family. Steve would spend hours out on a little fishing boat with his girls hoping to get the trophy musky or northern pike. He never did, but that didn’t stop him from trying. He loved hearing “dad I caught a fish” repeatedly.
Steve had a love for life that was infectious. Whether he was on a cruise swimming with the string rays or hiking the trails in northern Wisconsin, he wanted to see the world and live every day as if it was his last. Christmas was Steves favorite holiday. He looked forward to his lobster dinner every Christmas Eve, while his daughters were waiting to open gifts.
Steve leaves behind his Wife, Sheryl Radwill and four daughters Tracey (Mike) Porto, Nicole (Ryan) Lischka, Kristie (Bradley) Gilbert, and Ashley Radwill (Christopher Henk). He also is survived by his 10 beloved grandchildren, Hayley Porto, Michael (Mylee) Porto, Dylan Porto, Alexandria (Bruce) Howard, James Tyler Sanders, Hunter Waters, Mason and Mackenzie Gilbert and Cayden and Landen Henk. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Hermione who spent every minute by his side in his last couple of years.
Following Steve’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, go out and buy a couple new lures and try your luck at catching Steve’s dream fish.
