In loving memory of Steven Thomas Myers, a cherished husband, brother, stepfather, uncle, and friend, who passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on January 6, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, Steve was the beloved son of the late Leonard and Nancy Myers and is now reunited with his parents and sisters in eternal rest.
Steve's journey through life was marked by his easygoing nature and a profound appreciation for the world around him. A man of simple pleasures, he found immense joy in fishing, camping, and exploring the great outdoors. Steve possessed a unique ability to see the beauty in landscapes, a talent that endeared him to all who knew him. Whether he was casting a line on a quiet lake or sharing a laugh with friends over a pint of his favorite craft beer, Steve's presence brought warmth and joy to every gathering.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Anne L. Decorie-Myers, with whom he shared a love that was as adventurous as it was steadfast. She was his anchor and his greatest companion in all of life's journeys. Steve is also survived by his loving sister, Victoria Ridgeway, and her sons Justin and Matthew.
A proud and supportive stepfather of Philip Geisler, and his wife, Mary. The bond they shared was a testament to Steve's nurturing spirit and his unwavering commitment to family.
Steve's extended family, including his beloved mother-in-law, Rita F. Prenavo, and a wide circle of friends, will miss his kind heart and welcoming smile. He had a rare gift of making everyone feel at home, and anyone who met Steve automatically liked him. His legacy of kindness and love will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A wake for Steve will be held on July 2, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Northlake Funeral Home, located at 140 E North Ave, Northlake, IL 60164.
