Salvador Gutierrez Amigon passed away on Monday September 12, 2022, after a long battle with cancer.  He was 78 years old.

Salvador is survived by his wife Maria Magdalena Gutierrez, his children, Salvador, Roberto, Imelda and Miguel; his four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and his sister, Concepcion Tapia Gutierrez.

Salvador was born in Chiautla de Tapia, Puebla to Salvador Gutierrez de Dios and Consuelo Amigon Alarcon on June 17, 1944. He married Malena, his high school sweetheart on July 15, 1976.  After receiving a degree in Teaching, he immigrated to the United States where he welcomed his four beautiful children who were the most important part of his life.

Salvador was a devoted father, great storyteller and avid singer; he loved composing songs and poems for his loved ones and seemed to have a great story that helped us get through any tough obstacle we were confronted with. He really enjoyed being the life of the party and entertaining everyone with his gifted voice.  He retired from Clyde's Donuts in 1990. He was a religious man who enjoyed many church activities. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Visitation for Salvador is Friday, September 16, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon at Northlake Funeral Home on 140 E. North Ave Northlake, IL 60164. Funeral Mass is 12:30pm: St. John Vianney Church,  46 N Wolf Road Northlake, IL 60164. Burial 1:30p.m. at  Fairview Memorial Park 900 N Wolf Road Northlake, IL 60164.
