William S. Kelts, Jr., age 68 of Warrenville, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness at Central DuPage Hospital on March 2, 2018. Bill worked at the DuPage County Forest Preserve District as an equipment mechanic. He was born in Beirut, South Carolina on September 24th, 1949 and was raised in Michigan, graduating from Gaylord High School in 1967. He enlisted and served in the US Air Force where he learned diesel mechanics. Bill married Thongkham “Annie” Sukkert in Thailand in 1993. He was stationed at Eglin Air Force Base in Valparaiso, Florida raising their family in nearby Fort Walton Beach until they moved to Illinois upon leaving military service. He was a devoted father, cherished friend and dedicated employee.
William was the beloved husband of Annie Sukkert Kelts, loving father of Aaron (Diana) Kelts, En Sukkert (Amanda) and Amy Kelts. Dear bother of the late John (Lhea), Deb Moyer and Susan (Dan) Stansbury. Adored grandfather of Leland and Jasper Kelts. Fond uncle of Crystal Snodgrass, Montana Kelts, Jennifer Dixon and Paul Stansbury and many great nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 10th, 2018 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at Faith Community Church, 910 Main Street, West Chicago, IL 60185. Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 pm with Honors accorded by DuPage County Forest Preserve District ending with Military Honors accorded by the U.S. Air Force. Pastor Rhett Austin will officiate.
