Magdalena
Camacho
November 23, 2021
Magdalena Camacho, born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico on May 13, 1946, to her loving mother Valentina Maldonado. Sweet sister to Mariano Rosa, Juanita Diaz, and Norberta Bizarro. Amazing mother and champion to Juanita (aka Beva), and Leticia (Letty). Proud grandmother, lovingly named by her grandchildren as Weedis, to Joshua, (wife Alex) and Alexa (aka Nina). Great-grandmother to Logan. Best mother-in-law to Eddie, Mami Maggie to many friends, and faithful member of UTurn Covenant Church.
Throughout the years we watched mom deny her own pain to take care of others. Forgive people who hurt her deeply and give when she didn't have. She was a daily prayer warrior always giving thanks to God, praying for her family and drawing strength from Him. In most recent years, unable to kneel any longer, her day began by sitting at the edge of her bed to pray. Illness never hindered her loving and funny spirit. Even at the end, she made us and hospital staff laugh. Selflessness, forgiveness, loving kindness are all examples of who our mom was.
She will be greatly missed, but know we will one day be reunited with her and our heavenly Father.
Visitation will be Friday, December 3, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.. with a Service at 7 p.m. at U-Turn Covenant Church, 35 E. North Ave, Northlake.
