Jesus Arturo Flores Hernandez was born 09/21/1957 in El Fuerte Sinaloa, Mexico. He left Mexico when he was 15 years old. He walked across the desert from Mexico to Youngtown, Arizona. He had several obstacles in his life and he over came them all. He got a job working in the fields picking onions, watermelon, broccoli and other vegetables. He loved to cook for his family, friends and his dogs and he also enjoyed going fishing and watching soccer games on the TV. He did not like being in big crowds but did take his family to many crowded places like Disneyworld, Concerts (Nsync, Journey and Styx), Universal Studios, Kiddieland and Monster Jam, He was a hard working man who always supported his family. He learned English by watching Sesame Street with his children while teaching them as well. Due to circumstances he lost contact with his family in Mexico. His parents are Jesus Manuel Flores Lopez and Manuela Hernandez De Flores and his many siblings. He is survived by his wife Dawn Fortier Hernandez, his children Jesse Hernandez (Hannah Griffith), Dianna Zamora (Eric), Daniel Hernandez (Nicole Snal), Grandchildren Aiden and Maddox Hernandez (who loved him very much) and many nieces and nephews. His delicious food and cooking will be missed by all, especially his wife.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Sandy Vasquez Center, 316 N. Laporte Ave, Northlake, IL 60164.
