With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to the pillar of our family, Jesus (Chuito) Arroyo, who departed from this world on May 9th, 2024 at 77 years of age.
Chuito Arroyo was born November 26th, 1946 in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Mr. Ismael Arroyo and Mrs Candida Arroyo (Torres).
In 1950, Chuito met Birtha Torres and they were married in December 1967. Chuito and Birtha relocated from Ponce, PR to Chicago, IL in 1968 in pursuit of a prosperous future for himself and his family.
Chuito and Birtha went on to have two children, Jesus (Jesse) M Arroyo and Waleska (Walle) Arroyo.
Chuito worked as a manager at Crown Metal for 38 years, eventually retiring and living the rest of his life in the Schiller Park / Bensenville IL areas.
Chuito is survived by his spouse Birtha Arroyo, his children Jesus (Jesse) Arroyo and Waleska (Walle) Arroyo, his daughter-in-law Mayra Arroyo, his grandchildren Bianca I. Arroyo, Adrien A. Arias, Nicolette Munoz, his great-grandson Ezequiel I. Burnette.
As a husband, Chuito was a loving and hard-working provider. As a father, he epitomized the very essence of love, wisdom, and kindness. As a grandfather, his love was selfless and knew no boundaries. Chuito's love and kindness extended well beyond his immediate family. His humor, selflessness, and warm spirit was felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Chuito never met a stranger and was a friend to all.
Though he may no longer walk beside us, Chuito's legacy of love, kindness, and humor will endure through the generations. He leaves behind a treasure trove of memories that we will hold dear in our hearts forever. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten. May
his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire us to live our lives with the same passion and spirit that he did.
