Franklin Park - James “Jim” Mazula passed away at his home in Franklin Park on June 24, 2026. 

Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Lou, who stood by his side through all life’s seasons. He leaves behind three daughters: Patricia Corona, Karen Colbert, and Angela Drolema; grandfather to Joseph, Haily, David, Kelsey, Kylie, and Cassie, as well as a great-grandfather to Wrigley. 

Jim enjoyed playing slots on his tablet, enjoying Star Wars and Harry Potter movies. He was always with a cup of coffee and cigarette in hand. 

Friends and family will have the opportunity to honor Jim’s memory during visitation hours on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Northlake Funeral Home, 140 E North Ave, Northlake, IL 60164. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the same location. Committal service with burial will then take place at 1:45 p.m. at Fairview Memorial Park, 900 N Wolf Rd, Northlake, IL 60164.
