Jack Patrick Murtaugh, born on July 17, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Northlake, for 40 years and then with Ray Graham for over 20 years, passed away on October 18, 2024.

Jack is survived by his cherished brother, George Murtaugh (Mary Kay), his Uncle Gene (Mary) and his beloved nieces and nephews, Matthew, Mark (Bryana), and Katie (Tom), and great niece Cali.

Jack attended Enger School in Franklin Park. His parents often referred to him as their "special boy", a title that captured Jack's unique spirit and the countless fond memories shared with him. Jack had a gift for making people laugh, even during life's most unexpected moments, and his lighthearted nature left a significant mark on his loved ones.

Jack found happiness in life's simple pleasures: watching Wheel of Fortune, attending Hansen Center outings with his friends, and indulging in his favorite treats - pizza, Tic Tacs, and M&Ms.

A man of a few words he would catch you off guard and sing Happy Birthday to you!

He also leaves behind many cousins and friends at Ray Graham. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He was deeply loved by his family and friends.

A Thank You to all who helped Jack in his last years of life.

Visitation is Friday, October 25, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Northlake Funeral Home. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Committal service with burial will follow at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst.

Donations in Jack's memory may be made to Lurie Children's Hospital , a cause close to his family's heart.
