Franklin Bien of Park Ridge, formerly of Glenview, passed away March 4, 2021. He is the beloved husband of the late Linda (who passed in 2019); dear step-father of Kimberly (Steven) Lotman; dear son of the late Siegfried and Rose; fond brother of Ernestein (Jules) Beegun and Susan (late Martin) Zeitlin; brother-in-law of Larry(Diane) Gilmer; also survived by nieces and nephews.

Franklin was retired from the United States Postal Service after 42 years. His interests were many. Being self-taught with computer skills helped him professionally and personally. Science fiction was a particular interest that focused on Star Trek and Star Wars. In addition, had a keen interest in dragons, being an avid reader and a lover of many types of food. He loved all animals, especially his cats.

Funeral Service is 11 a.m., Monday, March 8, 2021 at Northlake Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park, Northlake.
