Eugene Mikos (Gene), 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 14, 2014, preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Agnes Mikos.

Beloved father of Patricia (Judy) Mikos, Paul (George) Mikos, Susan (Mondo) Hinojosa, Anne Marie (Sam) Rita, Joseph (Lynn) Mikos, Peter (Lisa) Mikos and David Mikos, cherished grandfather of 17, and great grandfather of 6.

Loving step father of MaryAnn, Tom, Mary C, Joe, David, Chuck, Paul, Francis, Ed and Mary Jo, dear step grandfather and step great grandfather of many.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor Corbett Mikos and wife Margaret Lawdensky Mikos. Eugene was a former City Manager for the City of Northlake, an active parishioner at St. John Vianney Church and a brave WWII veteran. A diehard Blackhawks fan, he was an avid golfer (Hole in One at age 67), He loved puzzles and watching the Food Channel. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and always a delight to be around. Serenaded everyone he met with songs and was always full of  jokes to share.

He was loved by many and will truly be missed by all.

Visitation: Sunday,  from 5 to 8 pm, Monday from 3 pm to 8 pm at the                                   Northlake Funeral Home,

Funeral Mass:   Tuesday 10 am at St. John Vianney Church.
