Elizabeth "Betty" Nardiello On Tuesday, June 16, 2020, Elizabeth (Betty) Nardiello, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away at the age of 85. Betty was born in Chicago, IL, the eldest of four children. Her family moved to South Dakota during her childhood, and eventually settled in St. Paul Park, MN. Betty married Arthur Nardiello in 1956 (divorced) and raised her eight children in Northlake, IL. Betty was kind, selfless and caring, and at the same time fiercely independent. More than anything, she loved spending time with her friends and family. Betty was very strong, and overcame many challenges. She rarely complained, but instead held a joyful and positive attitude through all of life's challenges. Betty was a great example of resourcefulness. She avidly supported visual and performing arts, and painted beautiful landscapes and other whimsical paintings. She enjoyed crocheting and other crafts. Betty appreciated museums, culture, and traveling in the US and abroad. She attended many hundreds of plays and musicals throughout her lifetime. She was an active member of the Ladies Guild and Live it Up Club. She is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia (nee Gorst), father, Martin Adams, and brother Edward (the late Marge). She is survived by her sisters Ellie (the late Noel) and Jinny (Joe), as well as her 8 children: Kathy (Carl), Patti (Terry), Tony (Donna), Barbara (Enrique), Mary (Eric), Joe, Beth (Randy) and Jen (Anthony), 22 grandchildren: Valerie (Andrew), Christine, Matthew, Michael, Mary Jo, Amy (Will), Drew (Katelyn), Anna (Jordan), Brian, Abby (Frank), John (Alex), Christopher, Lorena, Alyssa, Brandon, Anthony, Annalisa, Cory, Norah, Adam, Boden, Creston, and 9 great-grandchildren: Selden, Norah, Ellie, Jack, Ruby, Ollie, Adam, Grace and Greydon, as well as a host of relatives and friends. Visitation: Saturday, June 20, 2020 from 9:30 am until 10 am at St. John Vianney Church Funeral Mass: Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 10 am at St. John Vianney Church Interment: Queen of Heaven Cemetery
