Darlene Ann Schroeder, Devoted mother to Robert Lawson, Grace Bruce, James Lawson, Cheryl Lawson, Grant Lawson, and Stacey Kosman. Beloved grandmother to 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Darlene grew up in Northlake, IL and graduated from Proviso West High School. After raising her 6 children in Detroit, MI, she began a career in the travel industry working for American Express. Upon retirement she returned to Northlake to be with her mother. They were inseparable and enjoyed many activities together. Among their favorites were their country line-dancing group and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed giving cards to all her children and grandchildren; never forgetting birthdays and holidays. She was passionate about keeping the family together and planned thoughtful outings and activities to keep our large family connected. Her love for her family was felt by all. She will truly be missed.
