Melrose Park - Carolyn Grissom, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend; passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Born January 7, 1957, Carolyn lived a life filled with kindness, compassion and dedication to those she loved. 

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Helen Christman and Alban Lee Christman and her sister, Donna Mazar.

She leaved behind her devoted husband, Alvis Grissom who shared may years of love and companionship with here. Carolyn was the proud and loving mother of four children; Jennifer Grissom (mother of Joseph and Jose Ramos), James Grissom, Jessica (Kenneth) Parker (parents of Robert Nance and Chloe Munoz) and youngest son, Jason Grissom. 

Carolyn was a beautiful soul with a truly good heart. She dedicated many years of her life teaching and helping others; leaving a lasting impact on countless lives. Her patience, wisdom and caring nature made her a source of comfort and guidance to everyone who knew her. 

Above all else, Carolyn deeply loved her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren taking great pride watching them grow. Her warmth, generosity and unwavering love will be remembered forever. 

Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in the many wonderful memories she leaved behind. Carolyn's legacy of love, kindness and devotion to family will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her. 

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
