Bernard (Bernie) K. Hildebrand from Stone Park, IL for over 50 years passed away peacefully in Elgin, IL with his family by his side and joined the love of his life, Ada (Culbertson) on February 7, 2017. Born in Chicago in 1932, Bernie retired from Hostess Cake after 38 years and enjoyed family, travelling, gardening, the Grand Ole Opry and was a lifelong Cubs fan. He is survived by his children, Rose Barnhart, Roy (Su Kraujalis), Ron (Marie), Robin (Michelle), 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, his sisters Carol Hildebrand and Ramona Inglis, his brothers Ed (Helene) and Bill Hildebrand. He was an uncle, great uncle and friend to many. Bernie was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Isabelle (Schwarz), his brothers Richard and Harold and his sister Juanita Johnson. There will be a celebration of life at Northlake Funeral Home on Monday, May 1st, from 5 pm to 8 pm. Inurnment will be private.
