Marta Hernandez

Marta Hernandez, 74 passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Celso Hernandez; mother of Oswaldo, Henry, Luis and Eduardo; grandmother of Karin, Saul, Kevin, Jacky, Joel, Ellie and Oliver; great-grandmother to Ariana, Irian Noemi, Anderson and Gisell.

She was a virtuous woman of faith who always believed in God up to her very last breath. She would always tell us that she asked God to give her the strength of a buffalo to continue fighting in order to see her grandchildren grow. She had the gift of never forgetting a birthday and made everyone feel loved and special. She raised her kids according to Gods word and continued to be faithful to the loving pact she had made to her husband even after his passing. She will be dearly missed but is now resting in Gods hands. May she rest in peace.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Northlake Funeral Home, 140 East North Avenue in Northlake. Family and friends will gather at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Northlake Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst.
