Maggie Helene Brewer, the eldest sister of seven children, was born September 12, 1934 in Little Rock, AR to the late Will, Sr. and Eliza R. Taylor. She entered into eternal rest on January 17, 2018 at Elmhurst Hospital.

She graduated from Dunbar High School in Little Rock, AR and later married Curtis Brewer. To this union was born her only child, a daughter, Valerie. Maggie and her family later relocated to Chicago, IL. It was there where she settled her residence. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother. Her daughter and grandsons were the joys of her life. Until her health failed, she also enjoyed remaining in contact with childhood friends.

Being a strong-willed individual, she held responsibility and dependability in high regard which was reflected in her employment. Having maintained gainful employment at Illinois Bell for over 43+ years she was highly recognized by the company with an award for perfect attendance for 40 years.

Maggie was preceded in death by her parents, Will Sr. and Eliza Taylor, her sisters Alma Taylor and Verna Taylor, daughter Valerie Brewer Jones-Bland, niece Kimberly Taylor and nephews Charles Davis and Roderick Etheridge.

Memories of her life will be held by her only brother, Will Taylor, Jr., sisters Paula T. Herron (Maywood, IL), Willie E. Green (Downers Grove, IL) and Katherine M. Dancy (Little Rock, AR), a special grandson, Jeremy Jones, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
