John David O'Dea, born December 13, 1935, passed in death on December 19, 2011, proceeded in death by his father, mother, brother, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and two nieces. John was a resident of Northlake, IL for twenty-six years. He worked for Ohmite Manufacturing Company for forty-three years.
John is survived by his wife Molly and four children: Nova (daughter) of Northlake, IL, Joan (daughter) and Marty of Naperville, IL, Michael (son) and Kim of LaGrange, IL and Mary (daughter) and David of Evergreen, CO; grandchildren: Chris (aka Scooter), Brittany, Justin, Benjamin, Kaylah and Spencer; two step-grandchildren: Marty Jr. and Cindy, as well as his sister Joan Tapper of Gurnee, IL.
John served his country in the Army for four years. John laughed a hearty laugh and lived a large life, with a passion for golf, music, sweets, movies, quiet walks through the neighborhood, and shopping.
His legacy is that of love: profound loyalty to his wife and faithful devotion to his children and grandchildren.
